Friday night we're doing a one-off show at the Country Side in Springfield. It's been a while, but we think we still know how to get there.

Yeah, we know some of you will be over at the Willamette Country Fest, but honestly, what's 38 Special got that we haven't got, other than talent and good looks? We knew them back when they were 33 Unremarkable, and still feel that our version of Hold On Loosely is way better (even though we haven't actually played it, even for ourselves - it's that good).

So by all means at least stop by before or after to say hello, and if you're not going to the WCMF, we love you lots and lots, and may even give out Ed bobble-heads to the first 3,000 fans through the door.

We're on the Small Town Tour this weekend, but we guarantee anything but a small show...

Friday night we hit the Vernonia Jamboree, early: 6:30 to 9:30 leading right up to the fireworks.

Then Saturday night it's the big North Plains Elephant Garlic Festival. This is almost sure to be a vampire-free event, so bring the kids!

Thursday night we're at the Ponderosa in Portland with Justin Moore. This one is sure to be packed, so try to get your tickets in advance.
After that we roll down to Springfield for two nights at the Country Side, Friday and Saturday. These shows have been legendary lately, though we can't quite remember why. Trust us, though, it's a belly-thumpin' good time.

What we really need, though, if you're up to it, if for a few of you to post a quick review of the albums on that site. It really helps to give them more visibility and tell new people about what the band actually sounds like. Anyone who happened by Timbers in Redmond the first time we played there will most likely not remember much about the show, the rest of the night, or where their car is.

That's a shame because it was a pretty memorable night (from what I can remember).

We're heading to Springfield Friday and Saturday night for a much needed dose of craziness...

Last Friday's insane show at the Vault in The Dalles was enough to get us started (see Mitch Ward's photos on Facebook to get the full story) and this weekend we're ready to amp it up a notch.

Also, don't forget to catch the Portland Music Awards on Comcast On Demand, where you can see Chad and Al accept what will hopefully be the first of many awards, even if the rest are for bowling championships.
